Transforming waste for a greener future
Spent Pot Line Waste
Alset offers efficient solutions for managing spent pot lining, a hazardous waste, ensuring its safe disposal and environmental protection.
SPL 1 (Carbon):
Our process for SPL 1 focuses on eliminating or stabilizing leachable fluorides, converting them into stable calcium and magnesium fluorides. We also break down any cyanides present. Once the material is free of cyanides and fluorides, we crush, grade, and repurpose it for use in steel, cement, and other allied industries. The processed SPL carbon becomes non-hazardous and can be utilized in industries without the need for special regulations, licenses, or handling and safety measures.
Note: After processing, SPL carbon is rendered non-hazardous and can be utilized in industries without the need for special regulations, licenses, or additional handling and safety measures.
SPL 2 (Refractory):
Through our innovative processes, we have developed a method to completely eliminate leachable fluorides and cyanides present in SPL 2. The treated material is then suitable for use in cement, refractory, and other allied industries.
SPL 2 is a complicated waste that presents a significant hazardous disposal issue. Currently, it is used in the production of cement clinker. However, we have developed a process that utilizes this waste in a more sustainable way. Our Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and patent are currently pending. Soon, we will offer a green, sustainable solution for SPL 2 waste.
